Awesome NZ - Part 2

The day after the rugby was another bright sunny winter's day. So what better way to spend the afternoon than to go snowboarding?!

Emma and Simon have views of Mount Taranaki from their house, and we have to drive right past it go back to Wellington. Simon had been keeping a close eye on the snow report all week, and suggested that we bring our boarding stuff with us just in case. There are only a couple of runs on the mountain, but we decided to go up for a few hours to get in a bit of pre-season training. It only cost us about £20 for the lift pass, and because we have all our own stuff we didn't have the hassle or expense of having to hire anything.

Let's go Team!

It was such good fun! Having such easy access to the snow and the great outdoors is what NZ is all about, and we really feel like we made the most of it this weekend.  Thanks again Em & Simon for the great times. See you in a few weekend for snowboarding part 2!
