Wellington is located at the very bottom of the South Island, and so the coast is never far away. From where we live, there is circular ride that's about 36 kilometres. It's all flat, so in theory it shouldn't be that difficult. However, Wellington was living up to it's reputation today and was quite windy - somehow, it didn't seem to matter what direction we were cycling in, we always seemed to be going into the wind! By the time we got back, I was absolutely shattered and my legs felt really wobbly!
