When we very first arrived in Wellington, we went to the food market on Cuba street, and got chatting to a friendly lass from Ireland. She became one of our first, and one of our best friends out here, but sadly she's heading back to the Emerald Isle. She had a fancy dress leaving party, and the theme was Song or Album titles. It was a brilliant theme, as people could put in as much or as little effort as they wanted. It was funny too - some of her work friends are quite a lot younger than us, and they looked totally baffled at our choice of 80s songs. Likewise, we didn't have a clue what some of them had come as! That then lead to everyone trying to sing the song to explain their outfit "y'know......'club tropicana drinks are freeee'......no? Really? Oh well, look it up...."
Even though I didn't know the song (until I looked it up on iTunes) the winner of best costume definitely had to go the Michelle, the girl in the last photo. She had to plug her outfit into the mains electricity, which caused a cheer every time she moved from room to room! All good fun.
