We did a little bit of shopping on Saturday (clothes for work- boooo!), then met up with a friend that I used to work with several years ago. Zoe has been working over in NZ as a physio for about a year now, so it was great to have a good chat with her about work stuff and NZ life in general. It was lovely to see a familiar face, and I'm looking forward to catching up with her again soon.
My favourite day of the weekend was today, Sunday. The sun has been shining, and we took our bikes out for a ride around Oriental Bay. I love that you only have to ride a couple of minutes away from the city centre to get such beautiful views. On the way back, we stopped at the Sunday fruit market. It was huge, and so much cheaper than the supermarket. It was so lovely wandering round and getting all our groceries, and is definitely something that we plan to do every week if possible (I asked Zoe what happens to the market when it rains. She said people get wet.)
